Role Summary
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to support the growth of Chemistry We Create. This role is focused on identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities, building relationships across the healthcare communications landscape.
Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll play a key role in driving sustainable growth by building a robust pipeline, supporting pitches and proposals, and nurturing long-term client and partner relationships.
This role would suit someone who is commercially minded, proactive, and confident working in a small, agile consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors and clients
Build, manage and maintain a sales pipeline, including lead generation, outreach and opportunity tracking
Support the team with pitches, proposals and conversion of opportunities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, partner agencies and collaborators
Monitor market trends, client needs and competitive activity to inform business development strategy
Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy to increase our visibility across healthcare communications and the wider health sector.
Manage our online presence, ensuring all messaging is consistent, clear and aligned with the Chemistry We Create proposition
Contribute to internal planning, processes and continuous improvement of business development approaches
Support the planning and delivery of networking or industry events where relevant to new business activity
About You:
Experience in business development ideally within a healthcare agency environment
Strong commercial awareness with an interest in driving sustainable growth
Familiarity with the ABPI and other regulatory environments
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content and presentations
Experience supporting or leading pitches, proposals and opportunity conversion
Familiarity with digital marketing channels such as websites, email and social media
Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with others
